Sancho VII "El Fuerte", King of Navarra, was a key figure in the region's history. Son and successor of Sancho "El Sabio", and brother to Berenguela (wife of Ricardo "Corazón de León"), his reign was marked by strategic alliances and conflicts. His role in the Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa alongside Alfonso VII was decisive, and his feat of breaking the chains at the tent of the Califa Almohade is commemorated on the coat of arms of Navara. Born and deceased in Tudela, Sancho VII left a lasting legacy on the identity of Navarra.
